The Daycare Teacher is responsible for providing a nurturing, stimulating and safe learning environment for young children in a daycare setting. This role involves implementing age- appropriate curriculum, fostering social and emotional development , and maintaining open communication with parents and caregivers.
1. ** Curriculum Planning and Implementation**
-Develop and implement lesson plans and activities that promote the physical, cognitive, social and emotional development of children.
-Create a structured daily schedule that includes educational, recreational and rest periods.
Incorporate play-based learning activities that encourage creativity, exploration and problem solving.
2. ** Child Guidance and Support**
-Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom where all children feel valued and respected.
-Provide individualized attention and support to support the unique needs of each child.
-Model positive behavior and teach conflict resolution and social skills.
** Safety and Supervision**
-Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to health safety regulations.
-Supervise children at all times, both indoors and outdoors, to ensure their well-being and prevent accidents.
-Follow emergency procedures and protocols, in the event of illness, injury, or other emergencies.
**Parent Communication**
-Establish and maintain open, ongoing communication with parents, and caregivers regarding their child's progress, behavior and needs.
-Provide regular updates, and feedback through verbal communication, written reports, and parent- teacher conferences.
-Collaborate with parents to address any concerns or challenges and develop strategies for supporting their child's development.
** Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
-Seek feedback and reflect on teaching practices to continuously improve the quality of care and instruction provided to children.
The qualifications needed for Teacher:
- Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field( preferred)
-Associate Degree in Early Childhood, child development or related feel.
-Previous 1 year experience working with young children in a daycare , preschool or similar setting.
-Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education theories, and best practices
-Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
-Strong communication ,organization, and problem -solving skills.
-CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
