The Infant Daycare Teacher will:
- Create individual development plans for each child, fostering their self-esteem and independence.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with families, sharing the child’s experiences and growth.
- Plan and implement daily activities that guide each child toward discovery and understanding.
- Provide additional support for children with unique needs, celebrating their strengths and providing care.
- Complete daily reports and incident notes as needed, partnering with families in transparency and care.
- Encourage assistant teachers and classroom aides through supervision, training, and guidance.
- Model and adhere to all Rockgate Day Care policies, nurturing an environment of respect and kindness.
- Conduct regular developmental screenings and assessments, reflecting our commitment to every child’s growth.-
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of every child through attentive, compassionate supervision.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to support and coordinate enriching classroom experiences.
- Keep the classroom environment clean, organized, and filled with materials that spark wonder and growth.
- Serve meals with care, attending to allergies or dietary needs as a reflection of respect for each child’s unique needs.
- Support each child’s growth with personal care, including diapering and gentle toilet training.
- Document daily attendance, development, and milestones, allowing each child’s unique journey to be celebrated.
- Actively participate in all center staff meetings, training, and community events.
Qualifications:
To be a part of our Rockgate family, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
1. Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field, with one year of experience with infants and toddlers
2. Infant and Toddler Child Care and Education Credential, Infant Toddler Child Development Associate Credential, or another credential specific to infant/toddler care, with two years of experience working with young children
3. Child Development Associate Credential with two years of experience in child care, with at least one year caring for infants or toddlers
4. 9 college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field, and a documented plan to complete a credential or degree in infant/toddler care, with two years of experience in child care, including one year with infants or toddlers
