Our Asst teacher will honor children, respect their creativity & individuality, integrate learning into play, create deep connections with families, bring passion to the classroom, establish & maintain open, respectful communication with parents, children & coworkers, & observe children's learning. Responsibilities include supporting lead teachers in planning and implementing lessons based on developmentally appropriate practices that reflect the Creative Curriculum, supervising and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, maintaining a professional and positive demeanor while interacting with children, parents, and coworkers, supporting children with the use of intentional language and modeling when it comes to challenging behaviors, observing children in the program throughout the year, assessing their progress, routines, and interests in conjunction with the lead teacher, providing and maintaining a neat, organized classroom, maintaining a stimulating, aesthetically and educationally appealing classroom), attending all staff and grade level meetings and professional development.
Qualifications include a High School diploma (some college level education courses preferred), excellent communicators, and experience working in an early childhood setting.
